"First impressions were very good, staff friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly at a clean table and soon had drinks and menus. Excellent choice on offer, I had roast lamb which was delicious, served with veg cooked to perfection, followed by panna cotta with berries. A lovely pub/restaurant with happy staff = happy customers! Highly recommend a visit"

"The two of us went in for lunch on Monday and decided to do the lunch menu, £13 for two courses and £15 for three, an absolute bargain when you see what you get for it.
The Ham Terrine was huge and delicious. Mains were great too, steak wasn't on, so we opted for liver, which was the most tender we've ever had. We're a bit picky, no carbs for us, so we got a mountain of veg in it's place. Amazing!!!
House wine was smooth and fruity, and the service from both of the ladies there was impeccable.
Dog friendly too, we had a German Shepherd, not the smallest breed, and the waitress gave her plenty of fuss.
We've seen four changes of ownership in 12 years at this pub, and this is now the best it's EVER been! Absolute quality!"

"We booked a table for a pre-Christmas lunch and were very impressed with the dining experience. The bar stocks a range of festive ales and Christmas cocktails. We ordered two courses from the a la carte menu and loved the selection of pub classics and seasonal dishes. We enjoyed whitebait, beetroot falafel for starters and followed up with a delicious serving of fish and chips and the homemade lamb pie. Overall, a wonderful lunch in a stunning setting with excellent service. I would highly recommend the Green Man, keep up the good work!"
